Kindred announces $125M in Series B and Series C Funding

Our portfolio company Kindred raised $125 million across Series B and Series C to scale its peer-to-peer home-swap platform. NEA and Figma CEO Dylan Field co-led the Series B; Index Ventures led the Series C.

Co-founders Justine Palefsky and Tas Amina launched Kindred to make travel radically more affordable through a trust-first community where members swap their primary residences. Members have collectively saved more than $100 million on accommodations and are approaching 1,000 cumulative years of nights hosted, with 90% sharing their primary homes.

In their announcement, the founders wrote that "the world is clearly ready for a new way to travel that is more connected, more authentic, and radically more affordable."
